    Description

    Responsibilities

    • Set up a scalable Data Warehouse and create data pipeline mechanisms to integrate data from various sources for Klub.
    • Establish data as a service to expose necessary data through Apis.
    • Understand finance data workings.
    • Standardize and optimize design thinking within the technology team.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering teams for short and long-term architecture decisions.
    • Develop robust data models to support reporting requirements for business operations and the leadership team.
    • Participate in peer reviews and provide code/design feedback.
    • Take ownership of the problems and ensure successful delivery.

    Requirements

    • Prior experience in Backend and Data Engineering systems.
    • Minimum 2.5 years of experience in distributed systems or Data Engineering.
    • Deep understanding of Python tech stack including libraries like Flask, scipy, numpy, and pytest frameworks.
    • Proficiency in Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
    • Knowledge of data warehouse technologies such as Apache Hive or equivalent.
    • Experience with Apache PySpark or similar technologies.
    • Understanding of building analytics services for reporting and BI requirements.
    • Familiarity with data pipeline/ETL tools.
    • Knowledge of Trino/GraphQL or similar query engine technologies.
    • Deep understanding of Dimensional Data Models.
    • Familiarity with RDBMS (MySQL/PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB/DynamoDB) databases, and caching (Redis or similar).
    • Proficient in writing SQL queries.
    • Knowledge of Kafka.
    • Ability to write clean and maintainable code.

    Nice to have

    • Experience in building a Data Warehouse from scratch and setting up a scalable data infrastructure.
    • Prior fintech experience would be a bonus.
    • Previous experience in data modeling.
    • Experience with open-source data engineering tools.
