Description

As the Enterprise IT Solution Owner for IaaS Compute & Storage (On-Premises), your primary responsibility will involve the Architecture and Projects management and optimization of Nokia owned on-premises infrastructure.


Additionally, this multifaceted role requires profound leadership expertise and the ability to provide guidance across various compute, storage and network technologies, including x86, GPU, virtualization, NFS, SAN, FC and LAN.


Main Responsibility Areas

  • Architectural Design:
  • Technology Evaluation:
  • Stay abreast of emerging compute and storage technologies, conduct thorough evaluations, and make informed recommendations for adoption based on business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Project Management:
  • Lead endtoend project lifecycle from initiation to closure, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Collaborate and supported by Nokia's procurement team with vendors to procure hardware, software, and services, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality of products and services.
  • Implementation and Deployment:
  • Oversee the implementation of compute and storage solutions, working closely with crossfunctional teams in Compute & Storage to ensure successful deployment while adhering to established timelines and quality standards.
  • Performance Optimization:
  • Continuously monitor and optimize compute and storage infrastructure performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Security and Compliance:
  • Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of compute and storage configurations, processes, and procedures, and generate regular reports to track project status, performance metrics, and key milestones.
  • Cooperation with Licensing Teams:
  • Licensing Compliance: Collaborate with licensing teams to ensure compliance with software and hardware licensing agreements.
  • Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize licensing costs while maintaining compliance.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including leadership, to ensure seamless system operation.
  • Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
**Working experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Compute and Storage Architect/Project Manager, with a minimum of 10 years in enterprise IT infrastructure roles.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing compute and storage solutions utilizing technologies such as virtualization, server hardware, storage area networks (SAN), networkattached storage (NAS).
  • Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead complex IT infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, adhering to deadlines and budgets.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams, influence stakeholders, and present complex technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
  • Industry certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly desirable.
  • Implementation of compute processes, with proven experience in complex process management.
  • IT Enterprise Compute risk Management, Compute governance.
  • Attended meetings with IT Enterprise compute and storage teams, to identify opportunities to enhance measures.
  • Third Party Management
  • Support of IT audits
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, compute architecture concepts and principles
  • Presentation skills with PowerPoint, Office365 Handson experience in managing multi country and intercultural teams (internal and external).
