Job Description - Production Planning and Scheduling Engineer

Responsibilities

  • 1.Production Planning Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics, to create
comprehensive production plans that align with customer requirements.

Evaluate resource availability, including raw materials, labor, and machinery, to optimize production

capacity and minimize downtime.


  • Production Scheduling - Create production schedules based on the job orders, taking into account
equipment availability, lead times, and production capacities.

Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address unforeseen delays or

changes in demand.

Coordinate with production supervisors and operators to ensure that production schedules are

understood and followed, while also maintaining product quality standards.

Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule routine equipment maintenance and minimize

unplanned downtime.


  • Inventory Management
  • Reporting
Reporting on adherence to schedules, production efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Prepare regular reports on production performance, highlighting areas of concern and recommending

improvements to enhance overall production efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in production planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with production planning software/tools and enterprise resource planning (ERP)
systems.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Problemsolving mindset with a focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.

Job Types:

Salary:
₹25, ₹35,000.00 per month
