Role Summary


Responsibilities:


  • Support WSP's coastal modelling capability
  • Data acquisition and analysis for Metocean Studies
  • Development of calibrated Regional and Local scale of models.
  • Independently work on modelling projects to support marine engineering design/design criteria (Spectral Wave, Wave Agitation, Hydrodynamics, Mooring etc) and studies associated with ESIA (including flushing, brine dispersion, oil spill, dredge plume etc)
  • Undertake coastal engineering design such as revetments and shore protection
  • Lead on delivery of modelling projects, including report writing, present and discuss analysis, optioneering and solutions.
  • Develop practical engineering solutions through coastal modelling outputs
  • Liaise with wider team to achieve outcomes as per Client needs and specifications

Key Competencies / Skills:
Mandatory Skills

  • Must be able to work independently
  • Track record in leading modelling studies using commercial software packages such as MIKE, TELEMAC, DELFT3D, etc.
  • Analytical ability, proactive approach and attention to detail.
  • Successful delivery of modelling studies to budget and schedule.
  • Experience in using drafting tools (AutoCAD) and GIS for preprocessing and postprocessing of the modelling.
Desired Skills

  • Exposure to vessel maneuvering, navigation studies, water quality modelling are an added advantage.
  • Commercial abilities (business development) and liaising with Clients, stakeholders and external parties, if needed.
  • A Post Graduate degree in a relevant discipline

Qualifications:


  • B.Tech/B.E in Civil Engineering
  • MSc/M.Tech in Coastal / Ocean Engineering would be highly advantageous
  • 7 to 10 years experience
