About the client:

PSS** has been mandated to hire a Finance Controller - FMCG for a well-known FMCG company in the food and beverage sector.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to manage the day-to-day finance operations and drive the sales of commercial finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition, A/P copackers.
Partner with Sales, Operations, and Finance to structure and review new business opportunities, and implement standard tools and metrics in the deal review process, ensuring that financial metrics (margins, growth, returns, ) in complex deals are appropriately and consistently understood by business partners
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
Research technical accounting issues for compliance
Support monthend and yearend close process
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and central government reporting requirements and tax filings (GST)
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Educational Qualifications And Experience:

12 plus years of experience working in a distribution setup, preferably an FMCG company. Sales Finance experience is mandatory with good working knowledge managing A/R, and A/P for distributors / Copackers.
Good financial systems skills
Experience in Compliance and Audit is mandatory.
Ability to work well with others in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
Able to work with crossfunctional teams.
Confident, independent, and selfmotivated
Able to focus on and achieve established business targets.
Ability to adapt the role and approach as the requirements of the situation change and adept at seeking new and better ways of attaining goals.
