Job Summary:


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and bake a diverse selection of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts, following established recipes and techniques.
  • Ensure the quality, freshness, and presentation of all baked products, adhering to high standards of taste, texture, and appearance.
  • Manage ingredient inventory, ordering, and storage to minimize waste and maintain optimal levels of supplies.
  • Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and other variables to achieve desired results and prevent over or underbaking.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, tools, and storage areas, in accordance with sanitation and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other members of the culinary team to develop new recipes, menu items, and seasonal specials, incorporating customer preferences and dietary considerations.
  • Assist with product pricing, portioning, and packaging, as well as sales and customer service as needed.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance on baking techniques, safety procedures, and kitchen protocols.
  • Stay informed about current trends, techniques, and ingredients in the baking industry, continuously seeking opportunities for professional development and improvement.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and sanitation practices, ensuring compliance with health department standards and guidelines.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a Bakery or Pastry Chef in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Culinary degree or certification from an accredited culinary school preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of baking principles, techniques, and ingredients, with proficiency in both traditional and modern baking methods.
  • Creative flair and attention to detail, with the ability to innovate and adapt recipes to meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and interact professionally with customers.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment, tools, and safety procedures, including knowledge of proper handling and maintenance practices.

₹90, ₹100,000.00 per month
