Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive English lessons in accordance with the IGCSE curriculum for classes 9 to 12.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and encourages students' participation.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and techniques to enhance students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
- Foster a love for literature by introducing students to a wide range of literary works, analyzing texts, and promoting critical thinking.
- Provide constructive feedback and evaluate students' performance through regular assessments, examinations, and projects.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress, attendance, and achievements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding students' academic progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Stay updated with current trends, developments, and resources in English education, incorporating them into classroom instruction where appropriate.
- Participate in professional development activities and engage in continuous learning to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Support extracurricular activities, such as literary clubs, writing competitions, or drama productions, to encourage students' creativity and expression.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English literature, English language, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Teaching certification or license in English education or relevant teaching credentials.
- Proven experience teaching English at the IGCSE level or similar international curriculum, preferably with classes 9 to 12.
- Strong knowledge of the IGCSE English curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and inspire students, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Proficient in using technology and multimedia tools to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Effective classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain discipline while promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A passion for literature, language, and helping students develop critical thinking and analytical skills.
Salary:
₹50, ₹58,000.00 per month
