Within Insto Tech, the role belongs to the Markets Front Office Technology Area.

Markets Front Office Tech Area

As part of Institutional Technology, our Technology Area (aka "Tech Area") is responsible for infrastructure, delivery and support of Markets Trading and Sales.

We are specifically delivering the technology components of the "eFICC" strategy, which aims to bolster the Bank's market share in Fixed Income and Swaps trading by enhancing its market penetration and improving customer experience through automation.

What will your day look like

Works with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Quantitative Analysts, Software Engineers, Analysts and other testers to deliver robust data analytics and distribution platforms
Collaborating with stakeholders to identify risks early and improve quality by promoting culture of test early and test often
Understanding business needs and ensuring tests cases are designed to meet acceptance criteria
Review team deliverables and ensure QA practices are following ANZ Delivery Framework, Audit requirements and Testing Centre of Excellence best practices
Designing test approaches and optimizing test execution across functional and nonfunctional coverage
Build test automation capability / increase test automation coverage with an intent to continuously improve test outcomes
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions to perform more effective and efficient testing
Ensuring the necessary hygiene and traceability for test case creation, script creation, test execution and defect logging in a tool system
Create acceptance criteria and provide estimates for their work Role Skills and Responsibilities

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you'll ideally bring the following:

Strong JavaScript
Automation experience using tools/technologies such as Cucumber, Rest Assured, Selenium Webdriver, JUnit, WebdriverIO etc is preferred.
Strong experience in automation framework development using Java, JavaScript, Groovy with exposure to Continuous Integration (CI).
Extensive experience working in Behaviourdriven development (BDD) tools, preferably Cucumber
Extensive experience working in the areas of Java development, open source test automation tools and Selenium Web Driver, Junit and Maven
Experience in creating end to end CI/CD solutions using tools such as Jenkins, UDeploy etc
Influence Analysts and Engineers to have a testing mindset by contributing to and / or supporting analysis and design activities
Experiences in JIRA and Atlassian tools and integrating them to automation testing framework is a plus
Good to have working knowledge on XML based Message app development like MQ series also experienced in Camel and Kafka libraries usage
Good to have AWS Cloud services like EC2, S3 usage experiences
Good to have Couchbase experience

Desired Skills

UI and Backend test automation experience
API automation development experience RestAssured
Should have good understanding of CI/CD frameworks such as Jenkins
Working knowledge on BDD Framework: Cucumber
