    Rapido Cabs made its debut on May 2023, marking the commencement of its services in eight cities. Notably, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Delhi stand out as the primary cities for this initial launch. However, the ambitious plan includes an extensive expansion to encompass over 50 cities in the coming 12 months.

    Job Summary:

    As a Platform Data Engineer, you will design, create and implement frameworks and tools that aid the entire data team. The best part of this role is the ability to work on multiple cutting age BigData tools and create scalable, robust products. You will be seeing that your products will be affecting the daily business of Rapido. You will be part of a young growing team that delivers value to our users through creative improvements to our data platform and other data offerings. Striking a balance between speed of delivery and quality. Also get read to work with petabytes of data and hundreds of other complex data pipelines.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • End-to-end product development, all the way through ideation, design of the solution, implementation, delivery, monitoring, operating at scale, and impact analysis.
    • You will collaborate with other developers across teams( All PODs(Product Oriented Delivery) in Engineering team), write code you are proud of and play around with cutting edge data technologies.
    • Evangelize clean coding practices utilizing code reviews and tech discussions to drive the same.
    • Deploy data pipelines in production based on Continuous Delivery practices.
    • Manage infrastructure on Kubernetes and maintain them using Terraform.

    Job Requirements:

    • 2-4 years of experience in software engineering.
    • Hands-on programming based on Test Driven Development. Ability to write clean production grade code.
    • Applies theoretical knowledge to practice.
    • Strong understanding of Java fundamentals with hands-on programming experience. Java / Scala and any Hadoop stack familiarity is a bonus.
    • Have basic knowledge about Rest API's, micro services. Exposure to networking will be a plus.
    • Comfortable with optimizing big data pipelines.
    • Fundamental understanding and working knowledge of docker & kubernetes is preferable.
    • Knowledge of IaaC eg ansible, terraform will be an added advantage.
    • Is a problem-solver,inclination towards designing data structures and Algo to solve niche problems.
    • Never stops learning, Is self-reflective, has a hunger to improve, has a keen interest to drive their own learning.
