    Role Overview

    As the Human Resources Compliance Manager at Theka Coffee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organization complies with all relevant employment laws and regulations. You will develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks, conduct audits, and provide training to promote a culture of compliance across the company.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor and interpret changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to address legal requirements.
    • Develop and update HR policies and procedures specific to Theka Coffee's operations and culture.
    • Communicate policy changes to employees and provide training to ensure understanding and compliance.
    • Identify potential areas of legal risk related to employment practices and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and develop corrective action plans.
    • Investigate complaints or allegations of non-compliance with employment laws and regulations.
    • Collaborate with HR, management, and legal counsel to address compliance issues and resolve disputes.
    • Maintain accurate records related to compliance activities, investigations, and corrective actions.
    • Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.
    • Develop and deliver training programs on compliance topics tailored to the needs of Theka Coffee employees.
    • Stay informed about current trends and best practices in HR compliance and share knowledge with relevant stakeholders.

    Qualifications and Skills

    Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (master's degree preferred).

    Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

    Proven experience in HR compliance, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal requirements.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and influence stakeholders.

    Certification in HR compliance (e.g., SHRM-SCP, HRCI-SPHR) is desirable.
