    Description

    Position Summary:

    We are looking for a Senior Staff Web Engineer to assist our Global Information Services Commercial team in developing our customer dashboard and ecommerce site - MyIllumina.

    Our Global Information Services Commercial team manages Illumina's cloud-based digital experience solutions like ecommerce and customer dashboard, focusing on innovative tools in a global scale to empower human health transformations through DNA sequencing.

    Collaborate with internal partners to lead diverse projects, showcasing your technical skills and innovative mindset. Your role is crucial in delivering remarkable digital experiences.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead, mentor, and set an example for the team.
    • Act as Scrum Master for a dedicated software team.
    • Collaborate with different departments to meet product and service objectives.
    • Design and develop secure web applications using JavaScript frameworks like Angular.
    • Create RESTful APIs using Java and/or .NET.
    • Execute the entire software development lifecycle.
    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
    • Create technical architecture requirements.
    • Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving defects.
    • Participate in various testing sessions.
    • Supply estimates for software development.
    • Recommend solutions and manage code deployment.
    • Develop software components meeting quality standards.
    • Participate in workshops, trainings, and code review meetings.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 12 years of full-stack web development experience.
    • Team management experience with at least 5 developers.
    • Proficiency in an object-oriented language like Java or C#.
    • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
    • Experience with REST APIs and RDBMS.
    • Familiarity with front-end languages.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills.
    • Understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum, and DevOps.
    • Collaborative, motivated, and possess good communication skills.
    • Experience in automating unit tests.
    • Effective time and task management abilities.

    Education:

    • BS/MS in computer science, engineering, or related field.
