    Description

    Position Overview:
    We are currently seeking a talented SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team.

    The SQL DBA will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of SQL Server databases in a 24/7 operating environment.

    This position requires expertise in SQL Server administration, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    The SQL DBA will be part of a team supporting critical systems, with priority levels defined based on business impact.


    Role & responsibilities :

    • Application administrator will be responsible for the availability of various Application components and underlying environments.
    • Configure and harden environments in line with documentation provided.
    • Resolve issues/requests within SLAs
    • Monitor availability of enough disk space
    • Ensure various backups are in place
    • Ensure all scheduled jobs run successfully
    • The administrator should be able to work on multiple environments at the same time.
    • Analyze Log Files to find out the root cause of the problem to troubleshoot.
    • Managing Production changes through release process on DEV / TEST / PROD.
    • Provided support P1 supported 24/7, p2/3 during standard EST bus hrs.

    Required Skills & Experience :

    • Understanding of the deployment process
    • Good understanding of RPOs and RTOs
    • Experience in analyzing various error logs, troubleshoot issues
    • Perform RCAs, document issues, ensure CAPA is done.
    • Thorough understanding of SSL Certificates, Load Balancers, Web Application Firewalls
    • Understanding of API/ file/FTP based integration with third party systems
    • Thorough knowledge of SQL Server Database Instance
    • Good understanding of SQL Server Security features
    • Good SQL Server troubleshooting skills
    • Good knowledge of configuring SSIS, SSRS, deploying RDL files for the SSRS reports.
    • Good knowledge of Windows Server OS and components like IIS
    • Good interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
    • Good Knowledge in writing and analyzing the PowerShell scripts.
    • Good problemsolving ability
    • P1 supported 24/7, p2/3 during standard EST bus hrs
    Exp : 5 to 8 years
