IMPORT EXECUTIVE
**Location

  • Malad, West, Mumbai**
    Job Summary: The Import Executive will be responsible for overseeing and managing the import operations for chemical products. This role requires a strong understanding of import regulations, logistics, and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:


Import Documentation:
Prepare and review all necessary import documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, shipping documents, customs clearance, and import permits.


Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant import regulations and certifications for chemical products, including hazardous materials handling.


Supplier Management:
Collaborate with international suppliers to secure optimal shipping arrangements and negotiate favourable terms for imports.


Customs Clearance:
Coordinate with customs brokers and authorities to ensure timely and efficient customs clearance for imported goods.


Logistics:
Plan and manage the logistics of chemical imports, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.


Cost Control:
Monitor and optimize import costs, including shipping, tariffs, and customs fees.


Quality Control:
Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that imported chemicals meet the required quality standards.


Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate potential risks related to imports, such as supply chain disruptions or regulatory changes.


Reporting:
Generate regular reports on import activities, costs, and performance indicators for management review.


Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers, customs authorities, and logistics partners.

Knowledge of Import Regulations:
In-depth understanding of international import regulations, especially those relevant to the chemical industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, International Business, or Chemistry).
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in import operations, preferably in the chemical industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant software and tools used in import and supply chain management.
