    Description

    Overall Responsibilities:

    The QA Java Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing automated tests using Java and relevant testing frameworks to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications. This role involves collaborating with the development team to enhance the overall efficiency of the software development lifecycle through automation.

    Technical Skills:

  • Strong programming skills in Java and experience with Java testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, WebDriver, or other automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in writing, executing, and monitoring automated test suites using Java.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD principles and experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of REST API testing and the ability to write automated tests for APIs using Java.

    • Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Design, develop, and execute automated tests using Java and relevant testing frameworks.
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand product specifications and develop appropriate testing strategies.
  • Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing. Maintain and enhance the existing automation framework to accommodate new development and ensure ongoing reliability.
  • Provide detailed test reports and metrics to stakeholders to offer insights into the quality and stability of the product.
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies to improve test coverage.

    • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Demonstrable experience in developing high-quality test automation solutions using Java.
