    You work with a team of young and highly skilled Software Engineers. This team forms the link between Luciad and our customers. Together with your teammates you participate in software development projects, alternated with on-site training and consultancy with customer development teams.

    The team is responsible for the entire development cycle of the applications, from analysis and design over development, implementation and testing. By providing training and consultancy at the customer's site, you advise and assist our customer's development teams. This experience will allow you to further develop your geospatial experience and domain knowledge and provide consultancy throughout the entire development cycle of the customer.

    The role:

    The primary responsibility of this role is to act as a technical Specialist and have the ability to understand customer requirements and be able to break them to manageable pieces for developing a final solution. When required there may be a need to mentor junior developers. The resource will need to have good communication skills and be able to present and demonstrate Hexagon solutions to the customer. This role will involve direct interaction with customers and will need to travel to customer sites when required.

    Skill sets:

    · High level of JAVA is a MUST, Knowledge in JavaScript, Web Services and .NET is considered a plus

    · JAVA (J2EE, Core, Collections, Concurrency, Swing, JavaFX, Spring, MVC, OpenGL, Network)

    · HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Jquery, React/Node/Angular JS, WebSockets, WebGL

    · Experience with Webservices(REST/SOAP)

    · Development Tools: IDEA IntelliJ, Eclipse, Visual Studio

    · DBMS: Oracle/MySQL/POstGIS/NoSQL with spatial components and database design

    · VCS: GIT/SVN/Mercurial

    · Servers: Apache/Glassfish, Jboss/Weblogic

    · Operating System: Windows, Linux, Android

    · Experience in Standalone, Enterprise application development

    · Frontend and UI development

    · GIS background/ Basic knowledge preferred

    · Basic Knowledge of C++/.NET preferred, is a plus

    · Basic understanding of AI/ML/deep learning preferred

    · Learning the use to complex multiple COTS solution or platforms for solving GIS requirements and training the End Users

    · Defense domain basic knowledge (will be a plus)

    Attributes & Education required

    · 5+ years of relevant work experience

    · B-Tech/M-Tech in Informatics or Computer Science, or equivalent by experience

    · High level of JAVA is a MUST Knowledge in JavaScript, Web Services and .NET is considered a plus

    · Domain knowledge in development of geospatial applications is considered a plus

    · You have a problem-solving and "Can Do" attitude

    · Good communication skills in both spoken and written English

    · You are flexible to travel for high level client interactions
