TFIx, Program and Alumni Lead.
Directly Managing:
TFIx Entrepreneurs.
TFIx Program Partner plays a crucial role by working directly with the Education Entrepreneurs, enabling them to envision, design, and launch a contextual teaching fellowship model for their own organization.
Team Overview:
TFIx is a critical vertical within the Teach For India organizational structure that enables the expansion of our mission and impact into India's most marginalized and vulnerable populations and the very last mile.
To enable the same, TFIx delivers a robust 3-part incubation and entrepreneurship program to cohorts of leaders on an annual basis.
Responsibilities:
As a Program Partner at TFIx:
Provide differentiated contextualized support to Entrepreneurs to build their Fellowship programs- Cocreating ambitious and contextual vision and goals with 35 Entrepreneurs' to design and develop their fellowship program.
- Visiting Entrepreneurs on the ground a minimum 3 times to understand their context, conduct relevant research and collect sets of data to design interventions for developing the fellowship program.
- Working closely with the Entrepreneurs to build their understanding of different fellowship components.
- Facilitating regular 1:1 calls, collaborative circles with the Entrepreneurs and designing systems to monitor progress to their goals.
- Connecting Entrepreneurs to different organizations, resources and individuals who they can leverage to build deeper understanding of fellowship and its components and for the launch.
- Researching and building own functional expertise on different fellowship components like recruitment, selection, monitoring, fundraising etc to provide relevant guidance to Entrepreneurs.
Coaching Entrepreneurs towards developing leadership
- Building a strong relationship with the Entrepreneur to support them effectively and for them to be aligned with TFIx vision and mission.
- Giving authentic feedback on management style and leadership competencies.
- Finding and creating opportunities for Entrepreneurs to develop their leadership competencies.
- Enabling Entrepreneurs to develop the skill of evaluating themselves and their organization accurately to problem solve.
Executing Entrepreneur Partner (Alumni Entrepreneurs) and Program support strategy
- Executing learning spaces (LCs, webinars, city visits etc) to support Entrepreneurs partners for strengthening and sustaining their contextualized teaching fellowships.
- Visiting 12 Entrepreneur Partner sites for to support them with Fellowship launch, to strengthen the program and data collection for impact measurement.
- Executing learning spaces for Entrepreneur Partners (LCs, webinars, retreats) towards enabling them to scale their fellowships and to be a lifelong support to one another.
- Documenting onground learning to evaluate TFIx impact and adapt the Program & Entrepreneur Partner (Alumni Entrepreneurs) Strategy aligned to the same.
Co-creating culture with Entrepreneurs and TFIx team
- Cocreate the culture on the Staff team and Entrepreneur team that will lead everyone to achieve their goals collaboratively.
- Investing both staff and Entrepreneurs in the long term vision of TFIx and the purpose of the fellowship.
- Creating structures like a collaborative circle for Entrepreneurs to develop strong relationships within their cohort.
As a Coach at Teach For India:
- Contributing to
the team goals and priorities beyond individual goals and priorities. - Driving internal
alignment and support for Teach For India's core Programs. - Serving as an
ambassador of Teach For India and an advocate for our work and for educational equity in our country through both internal and external communication after committing time in our classrooms to understand our work more deeply. - Supporting with key organizational areas such as
Recruitment, Selection, Fundraising, Volunteering, Movement Building.
Minimum Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations:
- Two years of Teach For India Fellowship experience.
- Minimum 2 years of Program Manager role experience in any Teach For country.
- Previous experience in coaching and managing adults through building team culture, giving feedback, etc.
- Previous experience in designing and facilitating sessions for skill development.
- Previous experience of collaboratively working with a number of stakeholders.
