Job LoCATION:

Gurugram


We are looking for a Area Sales Head - Offline Retail (West Region) to build our offline sales and distribution channels from the ground up.

Someone with 3-4 years of experience in scaling Up offline operations in Mumbai region for personal care/non-food D2C startups is preferred.


Responsibilities:


  • Works with the management to craft the offline retail strategy, business priorities and
ensures there are systems in place to enable the offline partners to receive the

information in a timely manner.

  • Set up channel partners like distributors, super stockists, etc. and continuously engage
with them to grow the business.

  • Leveraging existing professional network to open Regional and National retail chain stores
like Dmart, Spencers, Spar etc.

  • Generates ideas about future retail activities to ensure a cutting edge strategy; maintains
up to date knowledge of the competitors and product trends.

  • Creates the offline retail component of the annual budget process ensuring understanding
and buy-in from the management.

  • Collaboration with Marketing team and VM for Instore marketing/promotions and for
external ATL/BTL activities.

  • Ensures all new store proposals meet the required return on investment on sales prior to
submitting any recommendations to the management.

  • Can take decisions on matters relating to the day to day retail operation within their
defined work area including the strategic planning of resources.

  • Ensures payments are received within the stipulated credit period offered to the channel
partners.

  • Takes a lead role in building a strong team of sales officer, sales promoters, etc. and spend
time coaching the sales team, identifying skills and opportunities for development.

  • Proactively manages and reviews the performance and progress of the sales team, sets
objectives and targets.


Requirements:


  • 34 years of experience building offline retail for a personal care brand, personal care/
non-food startup in west region.

  • Strong willingness to undertake the journey of setting up offline retail for a fastgrowing
consumer brand.

  • Existing relationships with distributors and retailers.
  • Can negotiate well with channel partners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Someone who understands the supply chain for offline retail extremely well.
