    Position Title : Senior Software Development Engineer

    Position Description:

    As a Senior Software Development Engineer working in Ford Credit IT, you will join platform engineering team that supports workflows, rules and configurations for originations, receivables, and collections platform. You will engage the team to identify and rank opportunities for development or refactoring while continuously removing roadblocks.

    You will work on a balanced product team to define, design, develop and deploy microservices based high quality products hosted on cloud platform. Additionally, you will conduct proof-of-concepts to support new features, ensure quality, timely delivery using Agile Extreme Programming practices

    Core Duties / Responsibilities:

    • Write high-quality code that manages Automotive Finance- ALS AF or equivalent Asset Finance Software - Events / APIs and satisfies customer needs and strives for simplicity, clarity, and testability.
    • Work with workflows in Asset Finance Software and make configuration changes
    • Develop the Technical Solution
    • Work with Finance Software Technical Architect to update the technical design.
    • Deliver valuable, working, tested, quality software released at market speed.
    • Investigate and propose solutions to development and design problems.
    • Adhere to architecture, design, implementation, and security standards and best practices.
    • Conduct analysis to determine integration needs, and design and plan integrations.
    • Develop reusable software building blocks to enable faster delivery.
    • Improve performance of existing software by diagnosing and resolving critical issues.
    • Develop, Design and Configure Workflows on the receivables, Originations, Collections processes of Asset Finance Software
    • Design feature level solutions

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
    • 5+ years experience in using any originations and receivables platforms
    • 8+ years software engineering experience in application development

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Candidates should have a working experience on Advanced Lending solutions software, likes of FIS, Automotive Finance (ALS – AF) or any equivalent Asset Finance software.
    • Strong experience of handling APIs and Workflows
    • Strong experience of making configuration changes in Asset Finance Software
    • Experience in modern software development methodology, such as pair programming, test-first/test-driven development OR demonstrated delivery of singular focus programming
    • Experience using advanced software configuration management (source control, dev ops, ci/cd, etc.
    • Experience with Configuration of receivables, automated credit decisioning, payout handling, Customer, Account and Dealer servicing, collections & recovery, remarketing services on any of the originations and receivables platforms.
    • Java Spring / Springboot, Microservices, GraphQL
    • Cloud platforms – GCP, Azure or AWS
    • Persistence - Buckets, PostgreSQL Bigtable
    • Experience with cloud native environments such as serverless, containers, multiple data repository structures.
    • Experience with software operations (Dev Ops, SRE, observability, support/maintenance, etc.)
    • Demonstrated experience designing reactive service oriented systems using enterprise tooling (web, interop, persistence, etc.)
    • Experience architecting solutions for appropriate scale, reliability security, performance, etc
