    Job Description:

    Senior Java/J2EE Developer with Life Insurance Experience -

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
  • Lead the development of complex projects by understanding and analysing requirements and developing software solutions in the Life Insurance domain.
  • Work closely with other team members and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software solutions.
  • Guide and mentor junior developers in best practices, code quality, and a range of technologies and frameworks.
  • Handle various aspects of software development, including debugging, deployment, and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Manage production support, troubleshoot software issues, and enhance system performance.
  • Ensure scalability and security of all applications and systems.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and follow project management methodologies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Java/J2EE technologies and industry trends.

    • Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 6-8 years of professional experience in Java/J2EE development.
  • Strong understanding of Java and J2EE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management, etc.).
  • Extensive experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and Struts.
  • Proficient in SOAP and RESTful web services.
  • Solid experience in Life Insurance industry applications.
  • Strong database skills, preferably with SQL and ORM technologies.
  • Experience leading a development team.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

    • Desired Additional Skills :

  • Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and AJAX.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, etc.
  • Project management experience or certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner).
