An established architectural firm located at Worli is hiring a Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QA/QC) Manager for their architectural practice. This role involves ensuring that all architectural designs, drawings, and documentation meet established standards, regulations, and best practices. The QA/QC Manager shall play a critical role in maintaining the quality, accuracy, and compliance of architectural projects.

Role and Responsibilities:

Review and Compliance:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of architectural drawings, designs, and documentation to ensure alignment with company standards, industry regulations, and relevant codes.
  • Verify that architectural plans accurately represent the design intent, including spatial arrangements, materials, dimensions, and other projectspecific details.
  • Identify and rectify discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in drawings and documentation.

Standards and Guidelines:

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the firm's drawing standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Ensure that all architectural work adheres to established standards and follows prescribed formats, symbols, scales, and notations.

Documentation Control:

  • Manage and maintain a system for tracking architectural documents, revisions, and approvals.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and design teams to ensure accurate and timely documentation submission.

Quality Assurance Processes:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes and workflows for architectural projects.
  • Define and execute quality control checklists, protocols, and procedures to ensure consistent and highquality outputs.

Communication and Feedback:

  • Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to project teams for improving drawings and designs.
  • Collaborate with architects and designers to address and resolve qualityrelated issues.

Code and Regulation Compliance:

  • Stay uptodate with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards to ensure architectural work meets legal and safety requirement

Training and Education:

  • Provide training and guidance to architectural staff on drawing standards, QA/QC processes, and best practices.
  • Assist in organizing workshops or seminars to enhance the team's understanding of quality control principles.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in regular reviews of QA/QC processes to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance overall quality and efficiency.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.

Professional licensure or certification in Architecture is a plus.

Strong knowledge of architectural drawing standards, construction documentation, and building codes.

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other relevant architectural tools.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Previous experience (10 years) in quality control, quality assurance, or document control within the architectural or construction industry is preferred.
