    Senior Network Engineer

    Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer with a focus on Switching & Routing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Juniper and Cisco products, with extensive expertise in configuring and troubleshooting various networking platforms. The role requires in-depth knowledge of Juniper QFX, EX, MX, and M series routers, as well as proficiency in Cisco switching platforms, including Nexus and Catalyst series.

    Key Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of hands-on experience in Switching & Routing with Juniper QFX, EX, MX, and M series routers.
  • Proficiency in Switching & Routing with both Juniper and Cisco products.
  • Exposure to Juniper EX & QFX switching platforms, Virtual Chassis configuration, and Cisco switching platforms (2960, 3750, 3800, 3560, 6500, 4500, Nexus).
  • Experience with Cisco ISR, ASR1K, ASR9K series, Cisco 7200/7300 WAN Aggregation Routers.
  • Familiarity with Cisco IOS XE & IOS XR, Junos, Juniper MX series & J series routing platforms.
  • Exposure to Load balancing concepts and hardware load balancers like F5, Barracuda, Citrix, Radware, ACE, CSS (not mandatorily on all).

    • Good to Have:

  • Sound knowledge of NAT, ACL, NTP, SNMP, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, LDAP, TACACS+.
  • Basic exposure to firewall platforms like ASA, Juniper SRX series, and other firewalls.
  • Proficient in RIP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, Firewall/VPN concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of VLAN, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VRF, Static Routing, Dynamic Routing, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, Etherchannel, LACP, PAgP.
  • Mandatory CCNA, CCNP certifications, and preferred Juniper R&S certifications.
  • Linux knowledge: File system & Network Management.
  • Exposure to Network Performance Monitoring Tools & Ticketing Tools.
  • Project planning and transition exposure, along with ITIL certifications.
  • Experience in upgrading data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work during US business hours.

    • Responsibilities: As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • DC setup, troubleshooting Layer 1/2/3 issues, deploying ISP links, and configuring routing protocols.
  • Bringing up IPSec tunnels from customer sites to Aryaka POPs, including Azure, AWS, and other cloud services.
  • Collaborating with DC engineers to install and fix network devices.
  • Participating in technical discussions with stakeholders to recommend optimal solutions.
  • Working with ISPs to bring up core and internet links, as well as configuring ISIS, OSPF, and BGP protocols.
  • Attending and resolving escalations, documenting best practices, and updating the knowledge base.
  • Proactively identifying, diagnosing, and troubleshooting network issues on customer and Aryaka Core Networks.
  • Researching alternative solutions and contributing to the enhancement of tools and processes.
  • Working in shifts round the clock in a 24x7 environment on a rotational basis.
