About the internship:

As an Education Counselor Intern, you will play a crucial role in providing guidance and support to students in their educational journey. You will work closely with senior counselors and educators to assist students in making informed decisions regarding their academic and career paths. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in counseling, mentorship, and educational guidance.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Student Counseling: Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to students to understand their academic goals, interests, strengths, and challenges

2. Educational Guidance: Assist students in exploring educational opportunities, including college programs, vocational training, and career pathways

3. Resource Management: Maintain up-to-date information on educational institutions, scholarship opportunities, and career resources to provide relevant guidance to students

4. Academic Planning: Help students develop personalized academic plans, including course selection, extracurricular activities, and study strategies

5. Career Counseling: Offer guidance on career exploration, job search strategies, resume writing, and interview preparation

6. Parent Communication: Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss students' progress, concerns, and educational plan professionals to support students' academic and personal development

7. Documentation: Keep detailed records of counseling sessions, assessments, and student progress to track outcomes and ensure accountability

8. Professional Development: Participate in training sessions, workshops, and professional development opportunities to enhance counseling skills and stay updated on educational trends and resources
