    Job Details

    We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Operations Engineering Team Member with mid-level experience in a range of technologies like Amazon Web Services(AWS) such as Elastic Container Service (ECS), IAM, Service Control Policies (SCPs), and Kubernetes. This team member should also have experience with Terraform, Terraform Sentinel, and Puppet. This team member should also be a seasoned Linux engineer. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and managing our cloud-based infrastructure and ensuring its optimal performance and security.

    Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud architecture that meets performance, scalability, and reliability requirements. Utilize Terraform to define and manage cloud infrastructure as code, ensuring consistent and repeatable deployments.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices within AWS environments. Leverage AWS IAM and SCP to control access, permissions, and policies. Monitor security compliance and proactively address potential vulnerabilities.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Manage Amazon ECS clusters and Docker containers to ensure efficient application deployment and scaling. Optimize container performance and resource utilization.
  • Automation and Configuration Management: Utilize Puppet and other automation tools to streamline system configuration and management. Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate application delivery.
  • Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor AWS infrastructure and applications, identifying performance bottlenecks, and proactively resolving issues. Conduct root cause analysis and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Disaster Recovery and High Availability: Design and implement disaster recovery plans and strategies to ensure business continuity. Configure high availability solutions across cloud and on-prem services.
  • Incident Response and Escalation: Participate in on-call rotation and respond to operational incidents. Escalate critical issues to appropriate teams and contribute to incident post-mortems for continuous improvement.
  • Cloud Cost Optimization: Collaborate with finance and development teams to optimize AWS costs through resource rightsizing, reserved instances, and cost allocation tracking.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of operational processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Share knowledge with team members to improve overall team efficiency.

    • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services, Terraform, Terraform Sentinel, Amazon ECS, Linux, Puppet, AWS IAM, and AWS SCP.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure design and architecture principles.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines GitHub Actions and Git version control.
  • Solid scripting and automation skills using languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices in a cloud environment.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
