    Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    Inventory Management:

    1. Develop and implement inventory management procedures to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize stockouts.

    2. Monitor inventory levels regularly and coordinate with relevant teams to replenish stock as needed.

    3. Implement inventory tracking systems to accurately track stock movement and identify areas for improvement.

    Distribution Planning and Execution:

    1. Develop comprehensive distribution plans encompassing the efficient movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses and onward to fulfilment centers.

    2. Optimize transportation routes, modes, and carrier selection along with logistics team to minimize shipping costs and transit times while maximizing service levels and customer satisfaction

    3. Track carrier performance metrics with Logistics team and promptly address any deviations from established service level agreements or delivery expectations.

    4. Develop and implement distribution strategies to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.

    5. Analyze demand forecasts and inventory levels to determine optimal allocation of products across warehouses.

    6. Coordinate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize stockouts.

    7. Plan and execute inter-warehouse transfers to balance inventory levels and meet customer demand.

    8. Monitor transfer processes to ensure timely and accurate movement of products between warehouses.

    9. Optimize Mode of Transport

    Maximize Local Service Levels:

    1. Develop strategies to improve local service levels and reduce delivery lead times to customers

    2. Collaborate with transportation providers and warehouse teams to streamline delivery processes and enhance customer experience.

    3. Monitor service level metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to meet performance targets.

    Coordination with Logistics team:

    1. Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize transportation routes and reduce shipping costs.

    2. Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of shipments.

    3. Resolve any issues or delays in transportation to minimize disruptions in the supply chain.

    Process Improvement:

    1. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.

    2. Analyze distribution data and metrics to identify trends and areas for optimization.

    3. Work cross-functionally with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall business performance.

    Team Management:

    1. Lead and motivate the distribution team to achieve performance targets and objectives.

    2. Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

    3. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.

    Requirements:

    1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

    2. Proven experience in distribution management, preferably in the ecommerce sector.

    3. Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.

    4. Excellent understanding of logistics operations and supply chain management.

    5. Proficiency in using inventory management software and logistics management systems.

    6. Strong leadership and communication skills.

    7. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive process improvements.

    8. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

    9. Certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
