Overview

We are seekinga VMware Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role inensuring the smooth operation and optimization of our virtualizedinfrastructure. As a VMware Engineer you will be responsible forthe design implementation and maintenance of VMwarebased solutionshelping to meet the organizations IT objectives and supportbusiness operations.

KeyResponsibilities

• Designingimplementing and maintaining VMware infrastructure andvirtualization technologies.
• Performingcapacity planning and resource optimization for virtualizedenvironments.
• Managing and troubleshootingVMware ESXi hosts vCenter Server and VMwarevSphere.
• Collaborating with crossfunctionalteams to deploy and maintain virtualizedsolutions.
• Developing automation scripts forprovisioning monitoring and managing virtualmachines.
• Ensuring the security and complianceof VMware infrastructure and virtualmachines.
• Monitoring system performance andreliability identifying and resolvingissues.
• Participating in disaster recoveryplanning and implementation for VMwareenvironments.
• Providing technical support andguidance to end users and IT teams.
• Documentingconfigurations processes and procedures related to VMwaresystems.
• VMware Vsphere Setup &Administration
• Cisco UCS Setup &Administration
• Collaborating with othertechnical and nontechnical teammembers
• Supporting our systems and other ITstaff based all over the globe with a working language ofEnglish
• Continuously monitoring and respondingto alerts raised on our Global ITInfrastructure

RequiredQualifications

• Bachelors degree inComputer Science Information Technology or relatedfield.
• Professional certifications such asVMware Certified Professional (VCP) are highlydesirable.
• Minimum of 3 years of provenexperience working as a VMware Engineer or similarrole.
• Performance Analysis and tuning 2 5 yearsof experience
• Any scripting skillswould be an added advantage: PowerShell orPython
• Strong understanding ofvirtualization concepts and VMware vSpherearchitecture.
• Proficiency in networkingconcepts and technologies including ITIL processTCP/IP VLANs and routing.
• Abilityto troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualizedenvironments.
• Experience with scriptinglanguages such as PowerShell Python or Bash forautomation.
• Knowledge of storage technologiesand their integration with VMwareinfrastructure.
• Familiarity with cloudtechnologies and their interaction with VMwaresolutions.
• Excellent communication skills andthe ability to work in a collaborative teamenvironment.
• Strong analytical andproblemsolving abilities.
• Experience withperformance tuning and optimization of virtualizedsystems.
• Understanding of backup and recoverysolutions for VMware environments.
• Knowledge ofIT security best practices and their application to virtualizedenvironments.
• Ability to adapt to evolvingtechnologies and industry bestpractices.
