    Description

    Job Purpose:
    To contribute to the development and maintenance of web applications by utilizing Ruby on Rails expertise. We are seeking a talented and experienced Ruby on Rails Software Developer to join our dynamic team.

    You will work closely with other team members to implement new features, improve existing functionalities, and help in optimizing the software architecture.

    You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and deploying web applications using the Ruby programming language and the Rails framework.

    Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our clients' needs.


    Job Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand integration requirements and business objectives.
    • Design the architecture and data flow of the integration solution.
    • Develop code or scripts to handle data transformation, validation, and enrichment.
    • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
    • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
    • Optimize application performance and scalability.
    • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to Ruby on Rails.
    • Work closely with DevOps and QA teams to ensure smooth deployment and testing processes.
    • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-up meetings.
    • Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentoring junior developers.
    • Enforces and evolves software development standards and best practices.
    • Troubleshoot software issues and ensure timely resolution to maintain high availability and performance.
    • Estimates development tasks based on the appropriate business constraints.
    • Provide on-call support as necessary

    Requirements:

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Overall 3-5 years' experience as a Ruby on Rails Developer.
    • Strong proficiency in Ruby programming language.
    • Strong proficiency with RESTful API design and integration.
    • In-depth knowledge of the Ruby on Rails framework.
    • Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
    • Proficiency with NoSQL Databases like: MongoDB and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) as well.
    • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
    • Version control system experience (e.g., Git).
    • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
    • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Experience of working with front-end frameworks/libraries like: Angular, React, or VueJS would be a strong plus

    Expected Competencies:

    • Ability to write clean, maintainable code and to understand complex software architecture.
    • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and solve coding issues.
    • Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
    • Ability to pay attention to programming style and neatness.
    • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to work well in cross-functional teams, respecting opinions and contributing constructively to team goals.
    • Commitment to delivering high-quality work and testing rigorously before deployment.
    • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.
    • Efficient in balancing multiple tasks and deadlines

    Work Timings:


    Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 9 PM IST to provide healthy overlap between India team and US team and supporting both to ensure adequate collaboration.

    This role will be working in Hybrid Mode and will require at least 2 days' work from office at Hyderabad.

    Occasional evening and weekend work may be expected in case of job-related emergencies or client needs.
