Description

The successful Global Demand Planner will assure the demand signals provided to the external and internal supply base are as accurate as we can provide.

The primary tool used for planning will be SAP APO.

To drive for success, this position will initiate, interact, and connect frequently with internal stakeholders around the business to gather the best intelligence to improve forecast accuracy.

Additionally, the Global Demand Planner will be responsible for managing the business segment's entitlement of inventory value.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead the monthly SIOP (Sales and Operations Planning) meeting for the assigned business segment with the factories to property project and deliver the forecast.
  • Establishing and maintaining operating mechanisms within all regions to ensure data consistency.
  • Manage all key item attributes to drive optimal forecasting and requirements
  • Leadership of projects that enhance our ability to demand plan.
  • Support New product Introductions by reviewing and managing all planningbased attributes in SAP.
  • Constantly monitoring new order entries between cycles to anticipate how it might impact the cycle need vs. forecast and recommending actions to be taken either with factories or to prioritize allocation.
  • Effectively liaising with product managers to involve them on factories issues, resolutions, on NPI rollout and phasein/phaseout.
  • Each Business Segment has an assigned inventory entitlement. The Global Demand Planner is responsible for managing forecast and item attribute settings that abide by the assigned value to the business.
  • Assessing forecast accuracy and analyzing inaccuracy drivers; understanding the impact on inventory and identify potential actions with regions or centrally.
  • Clearly communicating status updates to leadership, focusing on the key elements needed to make SIOP decisions.
  • Primary trainer for new demand planners to PKI and other key stakeholders to the SiOP process.
  • Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
  • Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
  • Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
  • Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
  • Address demandrelated issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Using and maintaining the demand planning software.
  • Completing other projects or tasks as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:


  • BS/BA in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or similar discipline.
  • Eight to ten Five years of experience in Global Demand planning, Customer or Sales Ooperations, manufacturing planning, production control or similar area.
  • Hands on experience with large ERP systems.
  • Experience leading larger initiatives involving multiple sites and locations.
  • Willingness to work afternoon working hours (cooperation with stakeholders from the US).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to communicate data points across a multilevel audience.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with peers and colleagues, including crossfunctional, global partners; actively and constructively works to resolve conflict.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement efforts to ensure optimized efficiency.
  • A team player with high energy level, able to get things done by working with and through others.
  • Able to communicate status updates and process improvement efforts clearly and concisely to senior leaders.
  • SAP experience and SAP APO planning experience preferred.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Six Sigma experienced desired.
