Description
The Foreman-Electrical is responsible for providing daily onsite supervision and guidance to the Electrical team.


Responsibility:


  • Supervises onsite daytoday tasks
  • Provides guidance to the Electrical team
  • Resolves related issues in order to ensure that the job is completed as per the work package, drawings, schedule and budget

Min Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree in electrical, mechanical or marine engineering, or equivalent qualification from a reputable university


Min Experience:

3-5 years of relevant experience in commercial and/or military ship building and/or repairs, including at least 1 year as an Electrical foreman


Job Specification & Skills:


  • Knowledge of ships (i.e. performance, stability, technical drawings, technical specifications, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ship building materials (quality, grade etc.)
  • Knowledge of Electrical circuits and diagrams
  • Knowledge of quality/control procedures
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of shipboard machinery, equipment, piping systems, propulsion system, electrical systems and navigation systems
  • Knowledge of commissioning of systems
  • Knowledge of international ship building standards
  • Knowledge of relevant Engineering tools and IT systems
  • Material Planning and Management Skills
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Management systems (MMS).

Experience:


  • Marine: 2 years (required)

Ability to Commute:

  • Cochin, Kerala (required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Cochin, Kerala: Relocate before starting work (required)
