    The Job Opportunity:

    Eggs are considered as one of the most nutritious foods provided by nature and have the capability to address nutrition issues in India. Despite the high consumption of approximately 40 Crore eggs per day in India, over 97% of them are sold loose and unpackaged. The Indian egg industry lacks organization both in the distribution network and at the consumer level. Eggs in India often take 8-10 days to reach retail counters, resulting in a loss of freshness and nutritional value. The presence of non-fresh eggs leads to unpleasant odors and undesirable textures, which is a common issue with Indian eggs. Farmers face challenges such as low profits and reliance on unorganized traders and wholesalers. The lack of income and knowledge among farmers results in the excessive use of antibiotics and chemicals in poultry feed, posing long-term health risks.

The founders, Abhishek Negi, Uttam Kumar, and Aditya Singh, are alumni of IIT – Kharagpur. Our client is strategically positioned in the $12 billion egg consumption market, witnessing an annual growth rate of 15%. Catering to the rising demand for hygienic and branded food products, Our client aims to become the leading branded egg company, bringing organization to the industry. The goal is to pioneer a revolution in the egg sector, striving to become the 'Amul for Eggs'. By focusing on sustainable farming practices for superior nutrition, Our client aims to enhance farmers' income and ensure 24-hour freshness from 'chicken to plate', addressing various challenges prevalent in the industry. The company follows an asset-light and tech-driven business model, onboarding farmers onto an integrated platform that incorporates herbal ingredients for poultry feed, nutrition integration, and bird management technology to boost farmer earnings. Positioned as the fastest-growing egg brand, Our client's products are available in omnichannel retail outlets across 5 major metro cities and surrounding non-metro areas. The future plan involves expanding the brand's reach nationwide and establishing itself as a household name, aiming to create excitement around eggs and a diverse range of egg-based products.

    The Role: Skilled Lead - Engineering

The ideal candidate possesses excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, decision-making capabilities, and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with diverse responsibilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Help in defining the Technical Roadmap and take ownership of end-to-end product delivery.
    • Ensure and continuously enhance the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of core APIs and infrastructure.
    • Actively participate in technical decision-making and serve as a key influencer in technical discussions.
    • Collaborate closely with various business stakeholders to execute multiple business plans and technologies effectively.
    • Promote and implement best practices and guidelines in architecture, code conventions, and development practices.
    • Enhance, optimize, and identify opportunities for efficient software development processes.
    • Stay updated on industry changes and champion the adoption of new technologies and development processes within the team.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in developing web services using Python, preferably in Django Framework, and React JS, with strong debugging skills, extensive exposure to MySQL, and analytical proficiency.
    • At least 5 years of robust experience in Python (Django), JavaScript, with expertise in Kafka, MySQL, MongoDB, Bootstrap, ReactJS, AWS EC2, S3, EKS, ECR.
    • Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Computer Science (preference for IITs, IIITs, and NITs graduates).
    • Proven track record in building web applications, RESTful APIs using Python (Django Restframework), with demonstrated experience in constructing, deploying, and maintaining highly scalable RESTful web services.
    • Sound understanding of CI/CD pipelines, with familiarity in swiftly and reliably shipping code. Proficiency in DevOps processes and tools (Jenkins, Redis, Celery).
    • Excellent communication and articulation skills.
    • Experience in collaborating with agile teams and making prompt decisions in a dynamic and disruptive environment.
    • Hands-on experience in writing and reviewing code.
    • Exceptional design and architectural skills.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of software engineering principles, computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts.
    • Proficiency in benchmarking and performance monitoring, including concurrency, multithreading, logging, and database optimizations.
    • Proficiency in browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
    • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
    • Good project and management skills.
