    Description

    MicroStrategy Developer

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and maintain MicroStrategy-based business intelligence (BI) solutions to meet business requirements.
    • Develop and optimize MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and cubes for data analysis and decision-making.
    • Work closely with business users to understand their reporting and analytical needs, and translate requirements into technical solutions.
    • Build and maintain metadata, including logical data models, attributes, metrics, and hierarchies within MicroStrategy.
    • Implement complex calculations, filters, and prompts using MicroStrategy expressions and functions.
    • Perform data profiling, analysis, and validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency in MicroStrategy reports and dashboards.
    • Collaborate with data engineers, database administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure the integration and optimization of data sources for MicroStrategy.
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for MicroStrategy applications and reports.
    • Document technical designs, specifications, and deployment procedures.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in developing and implementing MicroStrategy solutions.
    • Proficiency in MicroStrategy tools including MicroStrategy Developer, MicroStrategy Web, MicroStrategy Desktop, and MicroStrategy Architect.
    • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, relational databases, and SQL.
    • Experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
    • Knowledge of BI best practices, including report design, dashboard design, and data visualization principles.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with business users and technical teams.

    Preferred:

    • MicroStrategy certifications such as MicroStrategy Certified Developer or MicroStrategy Certified Engineer.
    • Experience with other BI tools and technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
    • Familiarity with data governance and security principles.
    • Knowledge of advanced analytics and predictive modeling concepts.
