    Renewable Energy Specialist Position at RTI in New Delhi, India

    RTI is searching for a skilled Renewable Energy Specialist for the USAID-funded SAREP project in South Asia. If you are passionate about renewable energy, this opportunity is perfect for you!

    Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the go-to expert on renewable energy technologies and contribute to technical deliverables.
    • Advise government stakeholders on enhancing renewable energy on the grid through legal, policy, and technical measures.
    • Identify opportunities and challenges to speed up the deployment of RE technologies in the South Asian energy sector.
    • Lead the development and revision of policy and regulatory frameworks to boost the deployment of RE technologies.
    • Conduct investment analyses and build financial models to expedite the deployment of advanced technologies.
    • Prepare bidding frameworks, tender documents, and contribute to bidding processes.
    • Support investments through M&A transactions, startups in RE tech, and nurturing new companies.
    • Author reports, research papers, and articles on SAREP themes.
    • Deliver presentations on key RE/advanced technologies themes.
    • Conduct training sessions and workshops for developers, policymakers, and regulators.

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in renewable energy, energy systems, finance, or economics with 6 years of experience; or bachelor's degree in engineering with 8 years of experience.
    • 5+ years of experience in policy analysis, planning, and financing of solar, wind, BESS, or grid integration of RE.
    • Experience in M&A related to RE is a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
    • Ability to work well with others and clients, present financial information, and manage projects effectively.
    • Skilled in collaborating with diverse teams.
    • Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong network in South Asia with key RE players, financial institutions, and service providers.
    • Capable of prioritizing workload, self-managing tasks, and meeting tight deadlines.
