    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and Implementation: Designing Cosmos DB solutions based on application requirements and best practices. Implementing and configuring Cosmos DB instances according to design specifications.
    • Performance Optimization: Monitoring database performance and identifying opportunities for optimization. Tuning queries, indexing strategies, and throughput settings to improve performance and scalability.
    • Availability and Reliability: Implementing high availability and disaster recovery strategies for Cosmos DB instances. Monitoring database health and proactively addressing issues to ensure maximum uptime.
    • Security and Compliance: Implementing security measures to protect sensitive data stored in Cosmos DB. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Backup and Recovery: Configuring backup and recovery procedures to protect data against loss or corruption. Testing backup and restore processes regularly to ensure data integrity.
    • Capacity Planning: Monitoring resource utilization and forecasting future capacity requirements. Scaling Cosmos DB instances as needed to accommodate growth.
    • Automation and Scripting: Developing automation scripts and tools to streamline administrative tasks and enhance operational efficiency.

    Qualification:

    Proven experience as a database administrator, specifically with Cosmos DB or other NoSQL databases.

    Proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing Azure Cosmos DB environments.

    Strong understanding of database concepts, including data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.

    Experience with Azure cloud services and infrastructure.

    Knowledge of database security principles and best practices.

    Certifications:

    Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (preferred)

    Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (optional)
