    Description
    A reputable maritime organization is currently seeking a skilled Training Superintendent for Marine Operations to join their team in Mumbai. The role involves developing and delivering training courses to ensure vessel safety and environmental protection in compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a background as an ex-Master Mariner with relevant industry experience ashore and strong communication skills.

    As a Training Superintendent, your responsibilities include ensuring compliance with the Training manual and overseeing courses for safe vessel operations and marine environmental protection, meeting regulatory and company-specific standards. You'll efficiently identify and address training needs within budget, maintain records, and rectify deficiencies promptly. Staying updated on industry developments, offering proactive solutions, and reporting to the line manager are crucial. Understanding seafarer readiness' impact on business performance and fostering professional relationships are also key duties,

    Key Requirements:
    • Former Master Mariner with relevant training experience in a comparable role on shore.
    • Tanker experience is essential and experience in chemical tankers or gas carriers is desirable.
    • Familiar with Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator (LCHS)
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
