    Job Description :


    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Server Systems Administrator to join our team and play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our critical server infrastructure.


    Minimum Requirements :

    • University degree in computer science or a related field (or) relevant work experience in server administration.
    • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or higher certification demonstrating expertise in Microsoft server technologies.
    • VMware Certification validating your skills in virtual machine management.
    • At least 5 years of experience in a senior technical role managing complex server environments.

    Proven experience in VMware vSphere administration, including :

    • Implementing new ESX clusters and migrating existing ones.
    • Decommissioning ESX hosts and managing vCenter Server.
    • Updating VMware tools for optimal performance.
    • Building new vCenters for efficient infrastructure management.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve ESX issues related to storage, network, and performance.
    Advanced knowledge of server operating systems and technologies, including :

    • Windows Server
    • Active Directory
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
    • SharePoint
    • Microsoft Teams
    Moderate to advanced knowledge of storage solutions, including :

    • Pure Storage
    • Nimble Storage
    • Experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining various server hardware components:
    • Dell Servers
    • Network equipment
    • Storage technologies (SCSI, RAID, I/O)
    • Experience using server performance tuning and monitoring tools.
    • Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve server hardware issues.
    • Working technical knowledge of scripting languages (VBScript, PowerShell, Command Shell, etc.) for automating administrative tasks.

    Desired Skills :

    • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
    • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other IT professionals and stakeholders.

    Responsibilities :

    • Manage and maintain all aspects of our server infrastructure, including hardware, software, and virtualization.
    • Implement and maintain virtual environments using VMware vSphere.
    • Perform routine server maintenance tasks such as patching, updates, and backups.
    • Monitor server performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose server hardware and software problems.
    • Configure and manage Active Directory for user authentication and authorization.
    • Maintain security best practices and implement security controls on server systems.
    • Automate administrative tasks using scripting languages.
    • Stay uptodate with the latest advancements in server technologies and best practices.
    • Provide technical support to internal users and collaborate with other IT teams.
