Position Title:
Legal Officer (TMS Payroll)
Qualifications:
LLB (Bachelor of Laws)
Experience: 2 years' experience in court practice/law firm/corporate
Job Location:
Vile Parle, Mumbai
- The Legal Officer shall be responsible for monitoring and/or advising on all legal matters, commercial contracts, and agreements.
- The Legal Officer shall also ensure that the company complies with the statutory and corporate governance practices and guidelines as observed in the industry.
- To assist and handle all the litigations on civil and criminal sides including but not limited to IPR suits, consumer cases, FSSAI cases, Legal metrology cases, etc.
- To draft and serve different notices wherever required and to draft and serve replies to the notices received by the organization.
- Drafting, vetting, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements. Ensure the due diligence and development of service level agreements for service support and delivery.
- Provide advice on corporate legal issues, Business matters, and internal advisory services to the business units and departments within the Company.
- Provide commercial legal support to all departments, Business units, and projects.
- To assist to maintain the portfolio of domestic and international intellectual properties of the organization.
- To assist in all the oppositions, rectifications, and cancellations in connection with the Intellectual properties of the organization in India and abroad.
- To supervise and ensure the compliance of licensing and nominations under food laws.
- Assist in the development of guidelines, policies, and procedures. Ensure (internal & external) compliance with laid down guidelines, policies, and procedures; investigate issues of noncompliance as may be required.
- Review and advice management on the legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
- Review and draft contracts, agreements, and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.
- To ensure due diligence on the part of business units & assist in the management of consumer care cells. Any other duties as may be assigned.
Required Skills:
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills in Marathi English and Hindi. Strong knowledge of corporate law and ability to interpret the provisions & Good understanding of general and specific Company and commercial law.
- Excellent team working ability to ensure smooth operation in the Legal Unit as a whole. Sound Legal research skills.
