Overview:


The Network Architect is part of the IT Operations team within the PepsiCo CTO Organization at Hyd and reports to the Director-Network.

PepsiCo has a multivendor hybrid outsourced model for its Infrastructure IT operations.

The PepsiCo IT Operations team works with various businesses, in-house IT teams, IT partners, and OEMs to maintain high-quality services around the clock.

The person in this role is responsible for developing and maintaining functional and secure networks. You will mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our networks for our users.

In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture, security, and data protection.

Your goal will be to establish networks that cater to customer needs.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with the Managed Service Providers and internal stakeholders, build trust with stakeholders, and own the design process.
  • Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
  • Designing, implementing, and supporting solutions involving, but not limited to, SD WAN, WAN, LAN, WLAN, VoIP, Data Analytics, Security and Virtual (e.g., Virtualization, SDN, NFV) technologies.
  • Subject Matter Expertise to design and deliver enterprise SD WAN solutions.
  • Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices
  • Monitor network performance and integrity
  • Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure.
  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
  • Mentor team members on technical issues
  • Create, oversee, and test security measures (e.g., access authentication and disaster recovery)
  • Communicate with users when needed
  • Maintain complete technical documentation
  • Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.

Qualifications:
Mandatory Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of Network domain experience
  • CCNP / CCIE Certification would be desirable.
  • Troubleshooting complex enterprise networks and associated technologies.
  • Knowledge of Wide Area Networking technologies and associated routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP is essential to this role.
  • Cisco ISR and ASR Routers (2900/4000/1000ASR)
  • Strong Knowledge in Cisco SDWAN Configuration, Management and deployment.


  • Manage

  • Capacity Planning, Disaster Recovery, Availability & Patch Management.
  • Support the maintenance of technical inventory all installed & stored components hardware & software.
  • Operates & optimises communications Networks & Services monitor the functionality and capacity of networks & network services provide availability statistics.
Mandatory Non-Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of network security principles and associated technologies.
  • Analyzing workflow and security requirements and establishing the network.
  • Strong relationshipbuilding capability
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven experience of managing an effective working relationship with audit departments, and challenging where appropriate
Differentiating Competencies

  • CCNP / CCIE Certification would be desirable.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and associated technologies.
  • Analyzing workflow and security requirements and establishing the network.
  • Strong relationshipbuilding capability
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
