Introduction:

Assist in reviewing controls implemented by the business to inform, advise, and issue recommendations with regards to data protection, privacy and compliance including data protection laws, internal policies, and guidelines.

Work with Privacy & Governance Lead to evaluate the existing data protection & governance framework to identify areas of no or partial compliance and rectify any issues.

Description:

Have an in-depth understanding of the ever-evolving Data Privacy Regulations and support and liaise with business to ensure compliance across regions
Assist in drafting and implementation of new privacy policies along with changes to existing internal data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures, in consultation with key stakeholders
Assist in developing and conducting Vendor Risk Assessments to determine if prospective vendors and suppliers can meet their organizational standards and obligations once under contract

Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments to understand and identify risks arising out of the processing of personal data and to minimise these risks as far and as early as possible.

Manage and maintain the One Trust production platform (primarily Data Mapping and Automated Assessments.

Critical Responsibilities

Support data governance initiatives:
Assist in the implementation and execution of data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure the effective management of data assets

Data documentation and cataloguing:
Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to document data assets, including data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage. Help maintain a centralized data catalogue or inventory

Data quality monitoring:
Assist in monitoring and evaluating data quality by conducting data profiling, data validation, and data cleansing activities. Identify and report data quality issues to the appropriate stakeholders

Data governance documentation:
Assist in creating and maintaining data governance documentation, including policies, procedures, and guidelines. Ensure documentation is up to date and accessible to relevant stakeholders

Data privacy & governance reporting:

Support the generation of data privacy & governance reports and metrics to track and communicate the progress and effectiveness of data governance initiatives.

Assist in analysing data governance-related data and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management

Independently manage key stakeholder relationships required for implementation of Privacy and Governance Framework
Assist in leading and conducting privacy awareness trainings and meetings as required to promote a culture of data protection and compliance across all units of the organization
Work with the Data Privacy Lead & Provide Privacy Guidance and support to business in implementation for Privacy related requirements across regions
Work with Risk and Compliance function regarding Privacy Updates and requirements
Share privacy & Governance recommendations with architect teams to help finalize on new products/vendors

Innovation

Contribute to organisational change through recommended improvements to existing privacy processes such as assessment automation and standardization of Privacy related controls
Drive accountability and a culture of demonstrating care and responsibility towards protecting our customer personal Data

Process Standardisation

Uniform & documented approach across regions, this shall include a process integration within the enabling functions (Legal, R&C, Data Governance, Risk and Compliance)
Develop a streamlined approach to ensure business initiatives and Governance assessments run in parallel, this needs agreement with business in terms of SLA's and deliverable
Set a clear vision and direction, ensuring alignment to strategy
Establish governance standardization across IT to assure that benefits are delivered early and incrementally to internal and external and customers

Support periodic reporting of Privacy related issues as required by stakeholders (external and Internal) and also plan, drive and support data privacy initiatives as assigned across the regions.
