    Description

    Burns & McDonnell India has exciting opportunity for Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineerinterested in growing their careers in one of the fast-paced company involved in high tech buildingdesign and construction.

    We are in a process of establishing a team of instrumentation & controlsengineers focused on design of control systems for Hyperscale Data Centers and Food & ConsumerProduct facilities.

    Project focus would also cover variety of other facilities including pharmaceutical, lifesciences, healthcare, manufacturing, airports, and institutional facilities in the North America region.

    Along with I&C the selected candidate will also get involved in telecommunications, building automationsystems, etc.

    We are looking for a young and energetic candidate to join our Global Facilities business unit in Mumbaioffice to support Instrumentation & Control design activities for above listed facilities.

    The engineer willbe responsible for developing I&C engineering design packages and calculations in support of new orretrofit projects.


    Specific duties include the following:
    Design I&C system and equipment as per the requirements of each client and facility.

    Develop Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) and/or control schematics as required.

    Develop control system deliverables such as:


    o I/O configuration and partitioning to hardwareo Field connection diagramso DCS Connection diagramso Loop Drawingso Control Panel Designo Instrument wiring diagramso Cable Scheduleo Functional Descriptions (FDS)/Controls Narrativeso IQ/OQ Documentationo Control room layoutsDevelop instrumentation deliverables such as:o Instrument demolition/ installation diagramso Instrument datasheetso Instrument location planso Conduit routingo I/O ListsReview vendor drawing submittals to confirm design compliance.

    PLC programming and design of HMI.

    Perform quality reviews of project submittals.

    Develop designs that are compliant with prevalent codes, standards and good engineering practices

    followed in the industry.
    Work with a senior engineer in supporting design activities on the project.
    QualificationsBachelor's degree in instrumentation or electrical engineering from accredited program or arecognized institute.
    Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Experience in food & consumer product and missioncritical facility design is a plus.

    Knowledge of the following programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred:
    Rockwell Studio5000, SLC, PLC5, Modicon, GE, Siemens.

    SchneiderKnowledge of the following HMIs is preferred:
    Rockwell FTView SE/ME, Wonderware InTouch,Modicon, GE, Siemens.

    Knowledge of the following distributed control system platforms is preferred but no required;Emerson DeltaV, ABB Symphony Plus, and Siemens T3000.Hands on CAD experience is a must.

    Knowledge of REVIT is a plus.

    Proficient in the English language and must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication

    skills,Candidate must demonstrate a strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Previous consulting engineering experience strongly preferred

    Knowledge of database mainly Excel and Access
