    The Job:

    As a Global Event Manager for Stanley Industrial, you will orchestrate high-budget events and trade shows primarily in India, enhancing our brand's visibility and impact. This role involves crafting cost-effective strategies for digital and physical promotions in collaboration with business and product teams.

    You'll manage the complete event lifecycle—from planning to execution—within set budgets and timelines, fostering teamwork and maximizing ROI. Your efforts will spotlight SBD's products and services, influencing purchasing decisions and boosting revenue. Agility in adapting to market changes and responsiveness to feedback are key to success in this dynamic position.

    You'll get to:

    Research and Strategy:

    • Analyse past event data and audience personas to develop targeted marketing strategies.
    • Utilize tools such as the GE-McKinsey Matrix to craft a strategic events investment roadmap.

    Event Execution and Effectiveness:

    • Collaborate with business verticals and campaign managers to ensure seamless event planning and execution.
    • Define event objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess effectiveness.
    • Align event activities with the organization's strategic goals, ensuring efficient budget and resource management.
    • Provide detailed reports on event outcomes, focusing on metrics such as attendance, revenue, and expense management.

    Vendor and Venue Management:

    • Oversee all logistical aspects of event management, including venue selection, vendor negotiations, and contract management.
    • Foster strong relationships with vendors, sponsors, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality event delivery.
    • Manage event marketing, communications, and logistical execution to ensure events run smoothly and meet expectations.

    Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver successful events.
    • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends to ensure best practices in event management.
    • Ensure clear and effective communication across various levels of management within the organisation (Sales, Services, R&D, Marketing, Public Relations, and Finance) and external stakeholders.

    Organizational Networking:

    • Engage with global teams and demonstrate flexibility in working hours to accommodate discussions across time zones, especially the U.S.

    The Person:

    • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Marketing, Event Management, or Business Management.
    • Experiences: Year of experience required: 8+ in a similar industry, of which min 3 should include event planning and research.
    • Skills / Personalities:
    1. Comprehensive understanding of industry procedures related to trade shows and events, including drayage, exhibit houses, show services, and union regulations.
    2. Proficient in strategic marketing concepts such as market segmentation, planning, and analysis, with a strong emphasis on integrating events with digital campaigns.
    3. Ability to conduct detailed financial analysis, including P&L development and reporting, and post-event evaluations.
    4. Skilled in critical assumption and contingency planning.
    5. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in Microsoft tools and database management programs.
    6. Strong presentation, negotiation, and team-building skills, able to effectively represent the brand at all management levels.
    7. Demonstrated competencies in planning, innovative thinking, and strategic/conceptual thinking.
    8. Good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    9. Results-oriented with a proactive approach to risk-taking.
    10. A team player who is persuasive and capable of building strong working relationships, both locally and internationally.
    11. Discretion in handling private and confidential information.
    • Other requirements:
    1. Awareness of cross-cultural differences with the ability to adapt strategies in changing environments.
    2. Willingness and ability to travel internationally and adjust to multi-cultural settings.
