    Job Description


    As our Senior Manager – Costing (Footwear) you will be responsible for setting costing targets for individual products based on corporate financial goals.

    You will provide costing direction to your counterparts in Design, Development, Marketing and Manufacturing to ensure those targets are met.

    You will scrutinize the cost breakdown sheets (CBDs) provided by manufacturing teams, provide feedback and develop alternatives accordingly.

    You will collaborate and negotiate with external Tier 1 component suppliers and Tier 2 vendors to develop material options that meet both performance and cost needs.

    You will establish and drive workstreams across all of product creation, in addition to being responsible for your own models.

    You will bring a sense of purpose and pride to all members of your team.

    You will be based at Agilitas' primary manufacturing site in Noida, India, but you will travel frequently to Agilitas' corporate headquarters in Bangalore.


    Your impact includes:

    • Establish margin and cost targets for individual projects
    • Drive all costing activities for new models from briefing through confirmation
    • Scrutinize CBDs and provide feedback/negotiate accordingly
    • Influence counterparts in Design and Product Management to ensure alignment within team on both functional and project activities
    • Collaborate closely with the Team to ensure models hit cost targets while maintaining the highest level of quality
    • Collaborate closely with Tier 2 vendors to ensure material offerings match cost needs.
    • Influence design and materials choices to ensure all performance and aesthetic goals are met

    We'd love to hear from people with:

    • Seven or more years of relevant experience in footwear or a related industry as a developer, costing, or manufacturing expert
    • Midlevel financial acumen.
    • Cursory understanding of the materials used in footwear, including textiles, leathers, EVA, PU, rubber, etc.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, engineering or other relevant field
