    About Fres2Day:


    Fresh2Day is fast growing Grocery Retail Chain in Chennai and having 22 Stores at present and aspire to expand to 40 Stores in this year itself.


    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a Retail ERP / IT Head to lead our IT department, overseeing the implementation and maintenance of hardware, ERP systems, and other IT solutions within our retail environment.

    The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in hardware, ERP systems, web technologies, software development, and data hosting. This role requires excellent leadership skills to manage a team effectively, streamline processes, and drive cost reduction initiatives.


    Responsibilities:

    Leadership and Team Management:

    • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging professional growth and development within the team. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals including developers, system administrators, and support staff.

    ERP Implementation and Optimisation:

    • Drive the implementation, configuration, and optimization of ERP systems tailored to retail operations.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify business requirements and translate them into effective ERP solutions.

    Cost Reduction Initiatives:

    • Develop and execute strategies to optimize IT spending while maintaining or improving service levels.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate tasks, and leverage cost-effective technologies.

    Consulting and Expertise:

    • Provide expert guidance on web technologies, software development methodologies, and data hosting solutions.
    • Consult with internal teams to align IT initiatives with business objectives and industry best practices.

    Hardware and Infrastructure Management:

    • Oversee the procurement, deployment, and maintenance of hardware systems including POS terminals, servers, networking equipment, and other peripherals.
    • Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the retail IT infrastructure.

    Vendor Management:

    • Evaluate and select vendors for hardware, software, and services, negotiating contracts and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
    • Manage vendor relationships to drive accountability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

    Security and Complaince:

    • Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing retail IT operations.

    Qualification & Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • 12 to 15 years of experience in a leadership role within retail IT, with expertise in hardware, ERP systems, and IT infrastructure management.
    • Strong understanding of web technologies, software development methodologies, and data hosting solutions.
    • Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving IT initiatives in a retail environment.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic IT plans aligned with business objectives.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and cost reduction.
