Snowflake Data Engineer

Job Description :

We are seeking a talented Snowflake Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our Snowflake Data Warehouse environment.

As a Snowflake Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our data infrastructure to support various business needs.

You will work closely with cross - functional teams to ensure efficient data pipelines, smooth ETL processes, and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake Data Warehouse architecture to meet business requirements.
Implement and optimize ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data into Snowflake from various sources such as Kafka, SQL databases, and external APIs.
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and structures within Snowflake for efficient querying and reporting.
Monitor and optimize Snowflake performance, including query tuning, resource utilization, and scalability.
Work with Python or Scala to develop custom scripts, automation tools, and data processing workflows.
Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within the Snowflake environment.
Stay updated on the latest Snowflake features, technologies, and industry trends to continuously improve our data infrastructure.

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Proven experience working with Snowflake Data Warehouse architecture and administration.
Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, querying, and optimization.
Hands on experience with ETL tools and processes.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala for data processing and automation.
Experience with Kafka for real time data streaming and event processing.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data integration techniques.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

Snowflake certification(s) is a plus.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
Knowledge of advanced analytics and machine learning concepts.
Experience working in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
