Job Description :

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the development and implementation of our end-to-end 834 EDI solution.

A robust level of experience or familiarity with 834 EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transactions is critical for this role.

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines to facilitate the ingestion, processing, and analysis of healthcare enrollment and eligibility data.

Responsibilities :

Design and implement robust, scalable, and faulttolerant data pipelines for acquiring, preprocessing, and storing large volumes of structured and unstructured healthcare data.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including software engineers, machine learning engineers, and domain experts, to understand project requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to clean, transform, and enrich healthcare data for analysis and modeling purposes.
Optimize data storage and retrieval mechanisms, including database design, indexing strategies, and query optimization techniques, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Implement data governance and security best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of healthcare data, in compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data engineering and healthcare IT to drive innovation and continuous improvement in data processing capabilities.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience (35+ years) as a Data Engineer, Database Engineer, or similar role, with a strong track record of designing and building scalable data solutions.
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering, such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, or Apache Beam.
Handson experience with cloudbased data platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and familiarity with related technologies like Amazon S3, AWS Glue, or Google BigQuery.
Strong understanding of relational and nonrelational databases, data warehousing concepts, and SQL proficiency.
Excellent problemsolving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
