    Description

    Scope:

    Senior-level technical writer responsible for writing, editing, and publishing product documentation in accordance with product release dates, functional scope, and standards. Consistently delivers high quality product documentation. Conducts appropriate reviews and then receives feedback and approvals from subject matter experts. Develops documentation plans and schedules. Provides input on information design with lead writer or manager. Trains and mentor's junior writers in standards and processes.

    Our current technical environment:

    • Software/Applications: MadCap Flare, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office 365, GIT, Bitbucket, JIRA.

    What you'll do:

    Consistently delivers solid product documentation and helps the team shape documentation standards and improved processes, in particular:

    • Designated writer for a product or product suite; leads a team of writers for a product if applicable.
    • Delivers content for online help systems, user guides, and technical manuals as assigned.
    • Is establishing a reputation as a "go to" person for documentation on a specific product or specific areas of product functionality.
    • Mentor's junior writers in the execution of project release deliverables or in other key department initiatives.
    • Adheres to, researches, and recommends improvements to department processes and writing standards.
    • Prepares and communicates accurate project scopes, estimates, and completion dates of assigned deliverables against a defined timeline.
    • Proficiently uses help authoring tool and source-control system to complete specific authoring tasks.
    • Collaborates with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders (PD/PMG) to determine
    • necessary content updates.
    • Understands product designs that are being implemented and how implementation satisfies business and user requirements.
    • Obtains approval of new or revised content by subject matter experts and key contributors to cross-functional teams.
    • Performs documentation reviews and verifies reusability and ensures the documentation adheres to standards.
    • Collaborates with and leads other technical writers in peer and copy editing to ensure quality.
    • Delivers documentation that meets all defined requirements from PD/PMG and warrants product functionality.
    • Understands and manages tasks in alignment with agile software development processes, tools, and techniques.
    • Demonstrates proficiency in behavior competencies such as written and verbal communications, teamwork, interviewing skills, organization, and completing complex work.
    • Provides input to PD (such as during design reviews) on software designs to improve overall quality (usability) of the product.
    • Maintains project plans and status reports for management and cross functional team reporting purposes.
    • Keeps current with and adjusts to new information design strategies and new releases of publishing tools used.
    • Manages customer comments on documentation.
    • Understands and uses technology currently in use to complete day-to-day tasks (such as email, chat, web meetings, goal planning, and vacation management).
    • Monitors, manages, and uses software tool currently in use to resolve documentation defects and track time and effort.

    What we are looking for:

    • Bachelor's degree with 5 to 7.6 years of experience in Technical Writing
    • Must have good hands-on knowledge on MadCap Flare
    • Proven experience in managing and supporting multiple product documentation in Supply Chain Domain
    • Experience in using CI / CD tools like GIT, Bitbucket, JIRA.
    • Understanding/experience in developing documentation for SaaS applications
    • Ability to independently manage and work in Agile/Sprint model
    • Demonstrated experience for working with cross functional stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements
    • Excellent collaborator/communicator
