    Description

    Position Overview

    • Responsibilities
    • Manage Oracle databases throughout various stages, from development to crucial production systems.
    • Configure and upkeep database servers and processes, inclusive of monitoring system performance for high efficiency, availability, and security.
    • Perform database performance enhancements.
    • Plan, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot high-availability database environments.
    • Independently address and resolve issues promptly, ensuring end-to-end problem resolution.
    • Streamline and automate routine processes, document changes, and track issues for optimized efficiency.
    • Offer 24x7 support for essential production systems.
    • Execute scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities as needed.
    • Share technical expertise and mentor team members.
    • Collaborate with customers, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
    • Skills & Qualifications
    • Experience with Oracle 12.x/Above in database administration within an enterprise setting is a must.
    • Proficiency in Performance Tuning and Optimization, backups, restores, and recovery models.
    • Familiarity with incident and problem management.
    • Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery options for Oracle.
    • Proficient in working with Linux, Windows & Unix.
    • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • Flexible team player with a proactive approach.
    • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
    • Adept at multitasking and adapting to changing environments.
    • Foundation in ITIL, Continual Service Improvement, and Total Quality Management.
    • Nice to Have
    • Experience with scripting, SQL, PL/SQL, Exadata, OEM, and Logical DBA activities.
    • Proficiency in complex query tuning and schema refinement.
    • Plus: OCA, OCP, and/or OCM certifications.
    • Preferred Education:
    • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
