    We are seeking a clever, customer-focused innovator and leader to join our Operations Team in Mumbai.

    The Team Lead in Operations manages a team and ensures smooth information flow among various stakeholders to address any issues affecting customer experience and business continuity.

    The ideal candidate should possess a fundamental understanding of the logistics sector and exhibit clear written and oral communication skills. They should also be adept at devising process enhancements and driving them to fruition.


    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Overseeing a shift, consistently identifying opportunities for enhancing team performance, and taking ownership of associated change management.
    • Establishing and utilizing performance metrics to boost team performance and achieve business objectives.
    • Analyzing trends' business implications and making data-driven decisions.
    • Interacting with both external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Finance, Ops Excellence, Fulfillment Centers).
    • Elevating issues or discrepancies in information and data to the relevant stakeholders and ensuring resolution.
    • Proficiency in extracting data from various databases (e.g., Excel, Access, SQL) and conducting ad hoc reporting and analysis when required is advantageous.

    Key job responsibilities:
    Defining, establishing, and overseeing transportation processes from Fulfillment Centers to customers utilizing our Sort Center network.
    Leading the recruitment, training, and development of a highly motivated workforce for Sort Center teams, in collaboration with HR and training teams, to meet operational needs and consistently maintain high standards of quality and productivity.
    Coordinating with Finance, Customer Service, Fulfillment Centers, and Projects team on matters pertaining to Sort Center operations.
    Continuously enhancing Sort Center processes to achieve sustained performance excellence. Introducing improvements to elevate quality standards, minimize waste, and eliminate redundant tasks.
    Analyzing data reports to pinpoint performance bottlenecks and enhance operational efficiency.
    Implementing formal process control and improvement mechanisms like Kaizen (six sigma).

    A day in the life:
    Supervising day-to-day floor operations during the shift. Ensuring adherence to all standard operating procedures. Monitoring key metrics, conducting regular audits, following protocols, and motivating the team to maximize efficiency and productivity on the floor.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Proficiency in spoken, written, and reading English.
    • Experience in an operational capacity.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Familiarity with city topography and road networks.
