    About the team Rubrik Software Engineers are proactive, self-driven professionals who can autonomously manage their workload. Our team focuses on constructing the core layer for user interaction with Rubrik products. We facilitate the connection between our varied SaaS offerings and federated on-premises setups through user-friendly APIs and frameworks, striving to offer an exceptional experience for developers and customers.

    Rubrik APIs play a pivotal role in enabling automation, 3rd party integrations, and tooling for both internal and external customers. As a senior member of the API Infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and driving our API strategy and ecosystem. Your duties will involve guiding the technical roadmap, collaborating across departments to promote best API practices, and ensuring consistent API standards throughout our engineering processes.

    What you'll do

    • Collaborate with product managers and customer solution architects to grasp the requirements of our most sophisticated clients
    • Develop and implement the next generation of Rubrik's API ecosystem, designed to be well-received by developers and maintainers alike
    • Interact with Rubrik's internal developers to enhance and streamline their API development experience
    • Lead initiatives to maintain optimal API quality and performance
    • Establish and promote the adoption of design patterns, coding standards, and software development processes in our API infrastructure

    Experience you'll need

    • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a relevant field
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Computer Science fundamentals
    • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in software engineering
    • Practical knowledge of API design principles and best practices such as GraphQL, REST, OpenAPI, Swagger
    • Experience in developing SDKs and APIs at an enterprise level, focusing on security, performance, and application development considerations
