- Implement data strategies, build data flows and Data Mapping.
- Develop and Maintain Logical & Physical Data Models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy.
- Understand and translate business needs/requirements into Data Models supporting longterm solutions.
- Work Closely with Data Architect to proliferate data entities through Logical Data Model.
- Understand and translate business needs/requirements for DaaS capability and develop Canonical data models.
- Optimize and update Physical Data Models to support new and existing projects.
- Work Closely with Data Architect to update dependencies in Logical Data Model.
- Maintain Physical Data Models along with corresponding metadata.
- Metadata
- Data Types, Data Glossary, Descriptions, Business Rules, Definitions etc.
- Develop best practices for standards and naming conventions and modelling to ensure consistency of data models.
- Recommend opportunities for reuse and enhance data models in new environments.
- Perform reverse engineering of Physical Data Models from databases and SQL scripts.
- Evaluate and perform analysis with Physical Data Models and physical databases (Data entities, objects, and values) for variances and discrepancies between designed v/s implemented.
- Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions.
- Develop Physical Data Models & Canonical data models in compliance with Enterprise Physical Data Model standards.
- Participate in Enterprise Physical Data Model Standards forum.
- Collaborate with System/Solution Analysts, Engineers, Programmers and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and data interfaces. (Data related areas)
- Review modifications/updates to existing application system to improve efficiency and performance. (Data related areas)
- Examine new application design and recommend corrections if required. (Data related areas)
- Proven experience as a Data Modeler or similar role, preferably in the supply chain domain.
- Hands-on expertise with Erwin data modelling tools.
- Proficiency in database technologies such as Teradata, SAP HANA, and Hadoop.
- Should have experience in Azure Data Factory & Azure Data Bricks
- Domain knowledge of Manufacturing / Supply Chain Management processes and systems (e.g., APT, SAP SCM).
- Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data integration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Certifications related to data modeling (e.g., CDMP) or supply chain management (e.g., APICS).
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Knowledge of advanced analytics and machine learning concepts applied to supply chain data. )
