Test Professional is responsible for an area of testing that would be typically defined and would be accountable for all testing deliverables which includes test tools evaluation, lead migration of test data from one tool to another tool set, defining new test cases automation techniques & methods, developing best practices for the organisation to follow and implement & handling of customer escalations during QA Tools migration and upgrades.

Key Accountabilities
The role works under the direction of a test manager but will have autonomous control of their responsibilities.
Fully conversant with test management, diagnostics and have knowledge of automation or another specialism.
Implement solutions for API Testing, Mock services, Test Data Management, Performance, Usability and Security Testing needs for successful "Continuous Testing" deployments
Will work with "QA & Testing" tools support team on critical escalations and get things done ontime based on end customer(s) needs
Will work with the suppliers, line of business and our platform teams for successful migration and upgrade activities needed for cost efficiency & quality effectiveness
Deliver the testing requirements for a specific area deriving what needs to be tested
Will take responsibility of testing solutions that we need to build and deploy as part of CI/CD/CT solution
Undertake test automation in line with prevailing automation strategy
Raising project exceptions re issues and blockers that threaten project timelines.
Managing own time to perform tasks within timeframe or before a given deadline
Executing test procedures and recording complex test results.
Identifying test issues/ defects and recording in testing tool.
Provide feedback on proposed Quality Engineering activities
Performing testing tasks as specified by the Test Manager.
Executing test procedures and recording test results unsupervised
Contribute to Continuous Improvement test evaluation framework.
To decide the approach to be taken and the nature of the liaison with development, suppliers, partner & support teams.

Skills Required

Member of a professional body e.g. Institution of Engineering and Technology

Experience
Experience in Software testing with rich knowledge on Software quality, quality assurance, defect prevention and driving test execution.
Expereince in digital transformation in qa space how we can enable & realise continuous testing in the Engineering Platforms
Experience in test automation space evaluating new tools for implementation, lead and drive current testing portfolios including upgrade/migration
Experience in driving programs with proactive communication with a sense of urgency and get things done traits.
