    Description

    Our client is a German mid-sized automotive supplier specializing in delivering cutting-edge polymer solutions to its customers. With a robust revenue exceeding € 600 million globally, the company has emerged as a key player in the automotive sector. It is experiencing significant growth in India, where it operates two local facilities, employing 1,300 professionals.

    With a strong focus on the Indian market, our client is actively seeking a Chief Financial Officer India & APAC.

    This search is part of a succession planning initiative, underscoring the need for a strategic financial leader to steer the finance function in this dynamic landscape. The incumbent will be in charge of the APAC region (excluding China) and will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer of the group in Germany.

    Responsibilities

    The role of Regional Chief Financial Officer encompasses a diverse set of responsibilities, key tasks include:

    Financial Leadership:

    • Providing strategic financial guidance to regional finance teams for optimal decision-making
    • Driving financial performance and accountability across the organization

    Shared Service Excellence:

    • Leading Shared Service initiatives, focusing on consolidation in India for enhanced operational efficiency
    • Implementing and optimizing financial processes to align with global standards

    Financial Oversight:

    • Overseeing comprehensive financial operations, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
    • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accounting principles

    Treasury and Financing:

    • Managing treasury functions to optimize capital structure, liquidity, and financial risk
    • Strategizing and executing financing initiatives to support growth objectives

    Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Establishing and nurturing collaborative relationships with regional and global stakeholders
    • Facilitating effective communication between finance teams and other functional areas

    Strategic Setup and Operation:

    • Playing a pivotal role in the setup and operational excellence of a Shared Service Centre
    • Contributing to the development and execution of regional business strategies

    Qualification and Experience

    • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or MBA is highly desirable
    • Proven experience in senior or executive finance leadership roles, ideally within the automotive sector
    • A well-rounded background, with a blend of experience from Big 4 accounting firms and industry roles
    • Demonstrated strong commercial acumen with an analytical and forward-looking Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) mindset
    • The ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making
    • Substantial experience in financing initiatives, and optimizing capital structures
    • A track record of effectively managing financial risks and ensuring liquidity
    • Proven leadership capabilities with a successful track record of leading finance teams and driving financial performance
    • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels
